Developing public awareness and educational outreach programs are essential to land conservation and a healthy environment now and in the future.  Now more than ever is the time to lesson our impact on the environment.

School Field Trips

For over 30 years, Cold Creek Docents have been leading field programs for public and private schools of the greater Los Angeles Region. The popular award-winning program is conducted on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am-1pm at the beautiful UCLA Stunt Ranch Reserve in Cold Creek.

Service Learning

MRT hosts’ community service days or field trips to learn about the local ecosystem and to help out with our various restoration projects. We welcome schools, corporations, religious groups, community groups, clubs, and more. For more information, check out our Get Involved - Volunteer section.

Advocacy

MRT advocates on issues related to land preservation. As a member of the Land Trust Alliance we support the topics and concerns that are presented by a community of land trust organizations.
